How this calm mode feels
Calm mode lowers swirl and softens force so the field stays peaceful instead of churning. Fade stays mild, so strokes fade out slowly rather than snapping away. Bloom stays soft, and Immersive mode hides the site chrome if you want only the canvas on screen.
When you want brighter energy instead, switch to fire mode or the main simulation.
- Low swirl for smooth, settled motion
- Gentle fade that avoids a busy screen
- Soft bloom instead of sharp glare
- Pairs well with Immersive mode for a clean view
Tips for a quiet session
Use slow, deliberate strokes. Turn Explain field off if you want a plain visual with no labels. Prefer medium or low quality on warm phones to keep motion smooth. Immersive mode keeps the dock within reach at the bottom of the screen.
Private by design
The calm canvas runs only on your device, with no account and no tracking of what you paint. See the Privacy Policy for full detail.
Questions
No. It uses the same real-time solver as every other mode, only with softer starting values. The physics steps still run in full.
Yes. Use gentle strokes, or tap Random sparingly for a new starting point. Pause the simulation when you step away to save power.
Tap Immersive. Exit with the same control, or press Escape depending on your browser's fullscreen state.
If your system asks for reduced motion, the simulation skips automatic splashy intros. You can still paint by hand at any time.
